Explore the stories behind a selection of antique, rare and esoteric books from the collection of Chris Maund, owner of Books That Expand the Mind.  

Launched in 2019, Books That Expand the Mind sells antique non-fiction books covering everything from cosmology to witchcraft. This session will delve into some of the most interesting books Chris has unearthed.  

Books on show will include a first edition copy of Captain Pugwash with signed illustrations by the author; three copies of the Discoverie of Witchcraft by Reginald Scott - one new, one from from 1930 and the another from 1651; plus rather special edition of The History of Witchcraft and Demonology... to be explained in the talk.
