Queer Women's Voices

  • The Margate School 31-33 High Street Margate, England, CT9 1DX United Kingdom (map)

A panel discussion about queer women’s writing and stories hosted by Margate’s own award-winning comedian, podcaster and author Rosie Wilby. Rosie is joined by Diva magazine editor Roxy Bourdillon and Polari First Book Prize winner Nicola Dinan.

Rosie Wilby is an award-winning comedian, author, speaker and broadcaster. Her latest nonfiction book The Breakup Monologues, inspired by her podcast of the same name, looks at how to stay in a happy, healthy relationship in the modern age. She’s now working on a novel based on her experiences of working as a queer woman in the comedy industry.

Roxy Bourdillon is an award-winning writer and the editor-in-chief of DIVA, the world's leading magazine for LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary people. Roxy's debut book, What a Girl Wants: A (True) Story of Sexuality and Self-discovery is out now.

Nicola Dinan’s debut novel Bellies won the Polari First Book Prize. It was also nominated for the Diverse Book Awards, Mo Siewcharran Prize, Lambda Literary Award, Gordon Burn Prize and Brooklyn Public Library Book Prize.
